Breathing steps - card sort

This is a card for students to put in order the steps involved in breathing, from inhaling through the nose and mouth to gas exchange in the alveoli. Students could them stick these in their exercise books in the correct order. Ideal for Key Stage 3 students.

For higher ability students, the teacher could remove one or more cards from the sort, and get students to identify what step(s) is missing.

Students could use this to consolidate their understanding of what happens in the breathing process and how the lungs are involved in this.
