This resource contains over 35 Power Point slides including varied activities (with all solutions included), texts, clips and illustrations on the topic of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Task types include: translating, matching up, filling the gaps, ‘true or false’ and prompts for writing and speaking.
The main outcome is to learn/revise facts, vocabulary and phrases related to the topic, as part of the Customs and Festivals section of the GCSE syllabus. Tasks vary in complexity and are grouped correspondingly into different Key Stages (KS3, KS4 and KS5). This is, thus, an ideal resource for Year 9, Year 10 and Year 11 students.
The slides are carefully designed, user-friendly and visually attractive. The tasks are interactive and many lend themselves well to pair work, both in person and online. Teachers may use the visual aids and text boxes in each slide to modify the tasks or add new ones as they see fit.
