There are 30 word problems for the students to solve, covering addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. There are 3 rounds of questions which they must solve. Once they solve the questions they are given clues written in runes. They must solve these clues in order to stop a Viking attack on the Anglo-Saxons. All answers are provided as well as teacher instructions. Children can work independently or as part of a group. Viking Runes: This resource will help your class become familiar with Viking runes. It gives them different messages in runes which they use their key to decode. Viking Word Search: A word search puzzle worksheet featuring vocabulary related to the Vikings. Use this to introduce vocab at the start of a Viking Unit or as a treat for early finishers. Kids love puzzles and word searches are a great way to improve spelling while having fun. There are 19 vocabulary words to find in this activity and they might be found in any direction including backwards. This means it is fairly challenging so it should keep puzzlers busy for a while.
