Use this resource to help your students progress from word, to sentence, to text level in this challenging G.C.S.E. topic.
I have included a crossword puzzle with clues in French which is great to test comprehension at the end of the topic. There is a vocabulary sheet which covers the main masculine and feminine nouns and two further sheets (also on ppt.) deal with verbs and adjectives relating to the environment. Some of the worksheets are also on ppt. to make it easier to introduce vocabulary and go over exercises with your classes.
The resource also includes:
- revision of ER and RE verbs in the present tense
- modal verbs + infinitive
- au lieu de + infinitive
- the present participle
- adjectival agreement
There are dozens of exercises to practise vocabulary and develop confidence in understanding and translating sentences and texts about global warming, pollution, public transport, water and energy saving, deforestation, flooding, drought etc.
There is 1 photo card activity in worksheet and ppt. format (traffic jams) and 1 photo card activity in worksheet format (deforestation) to help your students develop strategies to deal with this part of the speaking exam.
