Ir + a + infinitive: Yes / No questions practice (present tense)

Complete each set of questions with a yes or no and the appropriate conjugation of ir (to go) + a + infinitive (-ar -er, -ir) in the template provided. Write your answers in Spanish. (sí: yes / no: no) Ir + a + infinitive means “going to do something.”

*There are 6 sets for a total of 12 questions. (2 questions per set, one with a yes, and one with a no)

  • A structured template is provided for students to write their answers. Conjugations of ir and question / answer chart is included: If the subject of the question is tú, the subject of the answer is yo etc).

Answer key is included on pages 4-6.

Example:

  1. ¿Vas a hablar tú con José? (infinitive: hablar > to speak) (Answer with a yes)

¿Vas a comer tú una pizza? (infinitive: comer > to eat) (Answer with a no)

This practice is ideal for students in Spanish 1. It can be used for classwork, homework, review, quiz, entry or exit slip (broken up into sections).
