All the KS3 (Viva 1 and 2) and GCSE (Viva) trapdoor speaking activities I’ve made. Pupils really enjoy the competitive element. Instructions are printed on the page and I usually print them A5 size so they are big enough for pupils to make notes of any vocab they don’t know but also saves on printing.
I believe other people have different names for this activity but I know it as trapdoor. It is a speaking activity to be done in pairs and promotes memory skills.
