La Merienda Comida ‘En el Café’ Spanish Half Term Plan

Complete set of plans and resources to teach a half a term of high quality Spanish lessons. The plan includes weekly consolidation activities, pronunciation of words and information about the language. All resources needed to teach are included and there are lots of fun games and activities. Students will learn about what Spanish children typically eat for their afternoon tea and complete a reading comprehension. They will then learn ten different phrases for food eaten at this time; practising the vocabulary using a range of fun games to encourage speaking and listening. Learners give their opinion on what they like and what they dislike and use the language to roleplay a simple conversation set in a restaurant. They will create their favourite meal and finally they will follow a recipe to make a typical Spanish dish of ‘pan con tomate’ (bread with tomato). Activities are designed to encourage oracy skills and collaborative learning. Students will be enthusiastic about Spanish and eager to learn more!
