Revision Homer Iliad Plot - OCR Classical Civilisation GCSE - War and Warfare Literature and Culture

This resource is a double-sided A4 one-sheet which will give your students a summary of the major plot points of Homer’s Iliad in the OCR prescribed sources for GCSE Classical Civilisation War and Warfare Literature, as well as a key quote and some anaylsis.

More specifically, the source focuses solely on the plot points in Books 4, 5, 6, 22 and 24. For each prescribed source, there is a single key quote students can memorise, and some analysis. Your students can then use a multiple choice to independently assess which of the key themes and literary techniques are being used.

The resource is designed as a revision tool to reduce down content from the epic the Iliad to what your GCSE students need as a foundation for understanding the prescribed parts of the poem. It is not a comprehensive overview of the entire plot of the Iliad and will require knowledge of the poem, its themes, and its characters.
