A tried and tested set of easy pieces, that can be repeated and arranged to produce a performance.
Aimed at pupils in their first few terms of playing an instrument or for use in class lessons. By keeping the music simple, pupils can concentrate on improving their performance skills, listening to each other and use of expression on their instrument.
More confident players can perform a solo.
Parts 1-3 are in C . Part 4 is for open string violin. Part 5 and 6 are in Bb making them suitable for clarinet and brass instruments.
There is a Grade 2 standard piano accompaniment with guitar chords underneath.
Pupils could add lyrics to reflect the piece.

I initially put a one star reviews because I was disappointed that each piece was so short and didn't feel taht it represented value for money. However, having tried it with my orchestra - all pre-grade 1 primary school children I have found it works extremely well and the pieces sound lovely. We've only tried piece 1 and piece 2 so far (have moved on to Christmas!) but we will learn the others next term. We're using the first two as warm ups now and build them up by starting with just piano, then adding strings, then woodwind, then percussion then brass. We will probably include them in concerts later in the year. Thanks!
