PowerPoint and vocabulary match up sheet for Mis aplicaciones favoritas unit from Module 3 of the Viva AQA GCSE Spanish textbook. The PowerPoint follows the activities from the textbook with some additional activities and extension (challenge) tasks where possible. UPDATED APRIL 2021.
Here is an overview of the lesson:
- Starter - work out the meaning of new technology related verbs.
- Vocab match up sheet - match English on sheet with Spanish in the textbook.
- Explanation of “para + infinitive”
- Activity to practise using “para + infinitive” followed by answer slide.
- Two listening tasks from textbook
- Reading task created by me with a “más fácil” and “más difícil” option for students to choose from.
- Writing task with sentence builder provided for support.
- Explanation on how they can extend responses by referring to others.
- Reading task from textbook.
- Photo card task for students to prepare then perform in pairs.
- Peer assessment on photo card performance.
- Brief match up plenary task - match the app to the activity.
- Link to a Kahoot based on “Mis aplicaciones favoritas”
There are “challenge” tasks throughout for students to try to push themselves further.
This lesson should also be compatible with the Edexcel version of the textbook as from what I have seen they are very similar, if not identical for most units.

The updated version is even better, love the new reading task and photo card as well us the up-to-date starter!
It’s basically a copy from the book. There is not creativity.
Poor resource. I do not see where the price tag comes from. I was expecting a tablet or phone activity. I am not happy.
