I created this resource to be used a display in classrooms to show and explain what a PEEL paragraph is. It is designed to help students understand what a PEEL paragraph is and how they can use it in their writing, across all subjects and levels.
The resource itself is split into 4 different posters/displays/worksheets. The first is a guide to show what each letter of PEEL stands for and how you form a paragraph using the acronym. It also gives simple image to illustrate the main point of the letter. The second includes a range of sentence starters for each of the letters, giving students a starting point form and write a PEEL paragraph. The third gets students to think about what they need to do when forming a peel paragraph. Giving simple questions, that students should think about and try to find out before writing the paragraph. The fourth is writing frame template to help student form and write the perfect PEEL paragraph.
All slides are colour coded, in conjunction with PEEL, so each letter has its own colour. You could print them in A3 size to display around your classroom, so if students get stuck they can refer to them. Or, you could print onto one sheet and hand to students to put in their diary or stick in their books for future reference. The template page you could print a few up and pin them to a board so student can take one to help them when needed. I would suggest printing them in colour, to get maximum use of the individual colour coded letters.
Checkout my other PEEL Paragraph, with a range of different planning sheets to help students plan their writing.

I created this resource, as part of a whole school literacy programme. The main aim is to encourage positive marking from teachers when students write extended pieces of work or the marking of their books. Helps students recognise what they need to change and improve on for next time, allowing them to correct the mistakes that they have made. Helping students improve their writing!
The resource itself is a set of marking code posters to display in classrooms. Teachers should use these codes when marking students work in all subjects, this will help students to have unity and a sense of understanding in what has been marked as each code will be the same. Four simple posters to summarise marking principles! They are designed to be used across the whole school, in all levels and all subjects.
They are colour coded for ease and clarity. The first poster could be printed small, to stick in student’s books or planner so that they know what the codes mean. Around the outside are small codes to remind students of what to include when writing, e.g. types of punctuation, how to present work – underline and how work will be marked.
The pack itself includes:
* Quality of Written Communication *Punctuation *Paragraphs *Spelling and Grammar

This resource has been created to allow pupils to look at a source or object and use their inference skills to share what they think and know about it. Allowing pupils to be creative and engaging in their thinking by the simple words which pose as questions for pupils to think about out.
For example, when exploring a certain topic, you can place the window over the object and let the pupil infer! Or when, you are starting a news class book you can place the window of the book cover as use the word/questions prompts to see what your pupils think and can infer.
Simply, print this out (X how many you require, a good idea is to have on per pair!) and then cut out the big centre white box (says cut this out), making sure you don’t go through the lines or cut the word prompts out. The full A4 sheet when cut correctly, with show instructions for pupils to follow. Then laminate! This will fit a standard A4 laminating sheet.

Social Media is known worldwide as a toll for socialising and communicating. With the increasing use of emoticons on social media platforms, it is a good idea to integrate them into the learning environment! This way, students are more intrigued and I inspired to learn… It’s suited to their generation! So, I have used this to create fun, easy and effective AfL resources.
These tickets are a quick, easy, fun and effective way of providing you with useful feedback to assess student progression and understanding, ideal for teenagers! This sample includes one of each of the tickets.
Your students will enjoy filling these out at the start or the end of the lesson. They can be printed in colour or black and white, depending on your needs.
