TEACCH Progress and Lesson Check card

A TEACCH method resource to help settle students into a lesson. Used to set a routine in class and especially useful for students with specific needs. I have used this with an autistic student which she used every lesson. Good to help inform TA's with what to do during a lesson. Most commonly used with children on the autistic spectrum This card helps to: Set a classroom entry routine Inform TAs of what will happen in the lesson Provide students with expectations of the lesson A reward/ sanction system students can manage themselves. Could also be used to help set boundaries and keep parents informed of lesson by lesson progress.

GCSE course introduction/ discussion: Why set up a business? Who sets up a business?

Group work and independent learning tasks to introduce students to Business Studies. Mind map different reasons why businesses are set up and get students to create their own business idea. This works well if you keep their resources and save them until the end of the course so they can build on their ideas as their knowledge in the subject becomes more developed. Peer assessment sheet included in this Dragons Den style lesson.
