A film worksheet for KS3 Spanish. It includes the following activities: Look for the meaning of the following adjectives. Then, fill in the boxes with the Spanish adjectives corresponding to the characters. Using the adjectives from task 1, choose one of the characters and describe them in Spanish. The main themes of this film are: tolerance, love conquering all, the importance of friendship. Provide examples of these from the film and justify your choices in English. This is an A level lesson about el cine español. Students can read through it independently or in pairs/small groups highlighting all unfamiliar words, important facts, etc and then try to complete the comprehension activity at the end about it.

This resource can be used as a lesson on how to ask questions (Role play task) or as a booklet for students to practise as part of the lesson, homework, revision material, etc. The booklet is aimed to focus on how to interpret/understand the bullet point(s) with the “?”, think about the English and then formulate the corresponding question(s) in Spanish. It also contains information about the role play task for Edexcel. I have not created/designed the role plays. I have put together some of the foundation and higher role plays from the Edexcel VIVA textbook and some from past papers/sample assessments, etc. They are organised by theme and there is a grid available on each theme for students to complete with their own questions in both languages as well as notes.
