This Classroom Secrets resource learning activity enables children to practise their counting and numeral recognition in an independent context. Children can subitise the small amounts, or count using one-to-one correspondence, and then select the corresponding numeral by placing a clothes peg in the correct place. Alternatively, the cards showing number pieces can be provided which will support children’s quick recognition of the maths manipulative.
