A simple interactive Powerpoint game to support teaching and learning of number bonds to 10 with a Halloween theme.
Children count the spiders and click on the correct digit to show how many more spiders make 10.

Children count the red poppies and click on the correct digit on the number line that makes 10. For example, children are shown three poppies and asked how many more poppies would make 10. Children click on 7 to show that they know that 3 + 7 = 10.
This resource could be used as part of whole class teaching. Children can draw the poppies on small whiteboards to reinforce their knowledge of number bonds to 10. As a follow up activity children could make 10 poppies using a variety of different materials and show their knowledge of number bonds to 10, by placing the poppies in different arrangements to match given calculations.
A simple IWB maths game to support early counting skills with an Aaaarrh Spider! theme - links well with the text written by Lydia Monks OR can be easily adapted for any spider related topic.
Children are invited to count the number of spiders shown in the ten-frame and click on the matching number. This game is ideal to model counting using a ten-frame using numbers within 10 and will also support number recognition.

Santa has written numbers on the door of each house so he can match the right amount of presents to each family. Children are invited to count the number of presents shown in each ten-frame and click on the matching amount shown on the doors of the house. A super simple IWB maths game to support teaching and learning of numbers within ten. (30 slides in length)
To follow up, children could make houses from cardboard boxes and write on the numbers of presents to be delivered during continuous provision. This activity fits well with WhiteRose Maths planning for the Autumn term. This activity is easily adapted to calculate one more or one less present.

A simple IWB Maths Game to support the development of children’s early conceptual subitising and addition skills within ten. Children are presented with various domino arrangements (total amounts from six to ten) and say the number of spots they can see altogether. Help the Dinosaur count the spots.
