Narrative Writing Lesson for Upper Key Stage 2, based on the classic novel, The Secret Garden. This lesson is designed to help students develop their creative writing skills and deepen their understanding of narrative techniques.
Included in the lesson are PowerPoint slides that guide students through the writing process, using Chapter 23 of The Secret Garden as a basis for analysis and inspiration. The lesson also includes two narrative extracts ready for analysis, allowing students to practice identifying and deconstructing literary techniques such as personification, metaphors, similes, and expanded noun phrases.
