Refraction and Superposition

(0)
An outstanding detailed lesson plan on Refraction and Superposition. Questioning, Key words, Differentiation, Assessment, Starter, Homework, Plenary and Powerpoint all included in the lesson. Students look at the picture and reason what happens when a wave hits a barrier. Answers are scaffolded to lead to reflection. They copy and label diagram from the board. Students look at the new picture proposed (waves crushing in step). Discussion is scaffolded leading to superposition. Students copy diagram for addition and superposition and write a sentence to describe both in their own words (explain it to your grandma – or younger sibling). Students work at task according to success criteria. Write a reflection on today’s lesson, stating something that they think they have understood well (and explaining that concept) and something they haven’t understood so well detailing what they think the problem is, what confuses them. Investigate what sound is and write down at least 2 sentences on what is sound and how it happens. Homework assigned for the week after will be amending this answer on the basis of the given.
