Paper 2 does not contain 1 mark retrieval questions as these are practiced in paper 1 (and didn’t fit the format!) Totally editable on Microsoft Word.

I used the RAG with my students following their mock exam. The resource is editable so you can change the criteria of the colours depending on whether or not you are focussing on mock results. This contains the marks for Edexcel Language paper 1 and 2 but can be edited to fit other exam boards.

KS3 Writing Assessment Feedback sheet with DIRT Task: 2 double-sided sheets which includes levels 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. Uses the Welsh National Curriculum KS3 level descriptors but can be edited if necessary. I use this by highlighting what descriptors my students have achieved so that they can see how they achieved the level they did. I then add a comment about their work. During a DIRT lesson, students will then choose one of the descriptors which hasn’t been highlighted by a teacher and set that as a target for the next assessment. On the other side is a coded task designed to improve that target which students will then complete (again, editable). The next time students will complete an assessment, they will write this target at the top of their new feedback sheet.

A selection of 23 Post-It-Partner writing responses with questions related to: Making Predictions Making Inferences Analysing Plot Non-Fiction Reflective and Evaluating Authors Purpose BLANK for your own questions Students write their own ideas to answer the question on a post-it note which is then attached to a sheet with their partner. Students then work together to collaborate their ideas into a full question response.

These revision sheets have been adapted by an original version by the wonderful KKNTeachLearn They cover: An Inspector Calls, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet, A Christmas Carol and Lord of the Flies. Fully editable for your own questions. The font used for the title of novels/plays is Starlove Font by AliFirman These are designed for use on A3 sized paper.

To be glued in underneath class work or handed to teacher as an exit pass! Students should tick or colour in the barometer and leave a comment about their choice. E.g. “I understood all of today’s learning”

To be played with students as part of an English intervention. Simply download and print! Can be edited to change the techniques/examples to suit your class. Found this very useful with a small intervention group!

I laminate these sheets and have a class set of each on coloured paper so that students can work both independently and collaboratively when planning either a fiction or non-fiction piece of writing!

This booklet features a reading log to be signed by parents, a selection of tasks based on the chosen text and lined paper for students without access to this at home. Also includes a certificate for parents to sign as well as teachers. Bright and vibrant colours; works best printed as an A5 booklet but also works well in A4.
