SAVE as part of French Numbers BUNDLE BINGO / LOTTO: Includes simple number match and mental maths versions. 2 sets of 6 boards for each of 0-40 and 0-100 – one set features the French number word, the other less challenging version features digits. Print and laminate as required. Both the 0-40 and 0-100 games also have two sets of bingo cards each – French mental maths versions or French number word versions. Great for differentiation - for a medium level of challenge you could have groups using the digit boards with the mental maths calculation cards. FOUR IN A ROW: 6 French Maths Four in a Row game boards at 2 levels. Great starter, early finisher or group activities for both French and Maths lessons. Most questions can be answered using mental strategies. All four operations used. 4 different game boards for Maths involving numbers from 0 to 100 and generally more challenging Maths questions. 2 different game boards for Maths involving numbers from 0 to 40 with generally simpler Maths questions. If there are no questions left in the one they've rolled, skip a go or roll again. Use a different coloured whiteboard pen to record answers or add an initial or symbol if using the same colour. I recommend printing in A3 but it will work fine in A4 too. For the four operations, I use: plus - add moins - minus fois - times divisé par - divided by You might like: Huge French Basics Bundle

The 30 cards form a continuous loop so it doesn’t matter which one you start with. Square Jigsaw Puzzle - Print and laminate the 16-piece puzzle for repeated use or use the additional black and white version on paper for students to cut out themselves before working on it. Students match images to the French words. There’s an extra hidden sentence challenge at the end. Solution included. “Où Vas-Tu?” Active Oral Game - Card sets included in French and English to cater for different abilities. Print and laminate if you want to use again. 36 cards in the set. Students have one card each and must move around the room, asking “Où Vas-Tu?”, aiming to meet the person with the matching card. Students must reply in French, using the image on their card. “D’abord…Puis…” Mime Game - A team game where students must perform mimes to make their teammates say the correct French words to match the images on the cards, which the mimer must keep hidden. Teams could play against each other or against a timer to see how many cards they can complete in a certain time. There are 30 cards to be printed (and laminated if you wish to use again and again).   EXPLORE MORE OF MY FRENCH RESOURCES… French KS2 / KS3 MEGA BUNDLE 1 French KS2 / KS3 MEGA BUNDLE 2 French KS2 / KS3 MEGA BUNDLE 3

YOU MIGHT ALSO LIKE: French Christmas Bundle You could return to this crossword over several sessions. This is low prep, great for collaboration, printable, differentiated, has an answer key, and there’s even an optional hidden sentence challenge! Best not used with absolute beginners, as it’s designed to review AND expand students’ existing vocabulary, to provide a challenge. Depending on experience and ability of students and level of support given, this can work with Key Stage 3 and 4 and beyond. Please click on the preview file to check suitability for your students. Fun: Giant crosswords are enjoyable to complete. Low prep: Great for sub lessons and busy times. Flexible: Can fill a whole lesson or more, or be completed over multiple days. Early finishers: Great as an early finisher activity or extension, maybe to be competed over several sessions. Collaboration: Although it can be used for individuals, it’s especially good for pairs or small groups. Differentiation: Alternative clue page and vocab support page. Challenge: Fun hidden sentence extension!   HOW TO DIFFERENTIATE THIS ACTIVITY: There are 2 versions of the clue sheets – one with just the word itself in English (to be translated into French) and an easier version with the first letter given. Choose whether to provide the alphabetical answer list, perhaps just to support certain students, or distribute it only when students have done as much as they can independently Consider using mixed-ability groups Decide whether to allow access to online or traditional dictionaries, perhaps later when students have completed as much as they can independently Consider whether to use the hidden sentence challenge version (students use a blank grid with stars printed on certain squares, and then put the letters together from the star boxes to spell out a hidden word). There are 2 versions of the recording sheet for this challenge, should you wish to use them, and separate answer keys Early finishers could be directed to online sources to check out the pronunciation of unfamiliar words Whatever you choose, I hope your students have as much fun completing it as I did compiling it!
