That’s why I’ve designed a station activity that will engage your students and help them develop a deeper understanding of the genocide and its impact on Rwanda and the world. The activity is designed for grades 8-12 and includes 5 stations, each with its own focus. The stations include: Historical Background of the Rwanda Genocide - In this station, students will learn about the history and context of the genocide, including the role of colonialism and the tensions between the Hutu and Tutsi ethnic groups.
