In this activity bundle, students will explore the tragic love story of Bosko and Admira, a young couple from Sarajevo, Bosnia, who were killed during the Bosnian war in the 1990s. The bundle includes a 6-page reading comprehension activity titled “A Modern Day Romeo and Juliet: The Tragic Love Story of Bosko and Admira,” accompanied by original photos. The text covers the background of the Bosnian war, the story of Bosko and Admira’s relationship, and the events leading up to their untimely deaths. The reading comprehension questions, included on a separate 5-page worksheet, are designed to test students’ understanding of the text and promote critical thinking skills. The worksheet also features a CLOZE reading activity, which challenges students to fill in the missing words in key passages from the text.
