The idea behind this lesson is to give students an idea of what exactly happened during the Rwandan Genocide before watching Hotel Rwanda. Objectives: Understand the origins of the Rwandan genocide. Engage with the different media. Extract information from the film ‘Hotel Rwanda’. Reflect on and discuss the statement: “Do we truly learn for the past?”
