This 18 slide ppt is covering the New AQA AS Biology requirements for planning an experiment, processing the data, presenting data, drawing conclusions and evaluating data. It was made so I can use each section when carrying out experiments and showing students - key words, apparatus, equipment and techniques what is required for the New syllabus when carrying out scientific experiments. Can be used over many lessons, or each time an experiment is completed to reinforce standards required. Each slide(s) covers a specific area required for the scientific experiments: 1. Planning - keywords, apparatus, equipment and techniques 2.How to produce the perfect table 3. Risk assessments 4.Percentages, percentage changes, averages, ratios and SD 5. Perfect graphs, finding rates an 6. Correlation and causation 7. Errors in measurements, minimising errors 8. Evaluation Thank you for taking the time to look at my resource and I hope you find it beneficial. This is a 9 slide power point on Respiration. I use this with my Foundation & GCSE Double award class as a class presentation and as a starter for my Triple Group. With Triple groups you will only need to include the chemical equation for respiration and go into more detail with respect to ATP, which is not required for double award. It includes aerobic and anaerobic respiration, differences between the two, the word equations, release of energy (ATP), oxygen debt and RQ quotient. Thank you for taking the time to look at my resource and I hope you find it beneficial. Please feel free to leave feedback and to 'follow me' so as not to miss out on future helpful resources. GCSE Biology - Ecosystem Keyterms /Definitions ppt, Fill In Sheet & W/sheet

(0)
This is a power point explaining all of the key terms related to ecosystems with exam terminology and great pictures and diagrams. I uploaded this onto my school system as a homework to test students on all of the key terms and what they mean. I have also used a plenary to lessons and as revision at the end of the unit. Also, found this really helpful with GCSE foundation/SEN groups; as the term are easily read and the pictures are bright and eye catching. The work sheet has every key word written and students just fill in the definitions. They can then stick the sheet in the front of their books. The second worksheet is for a class activity, or a home work and sets students tasks to complete on ecosystems, predator - prey relationships, etc. The following terms are stated: classification (artificial and natural), evolutionary trees, binomial system (genus & species), habitat, ecosystem, producer, consumer, pyramid of numbers, biomass , predator, prey, equation foe energy transfer in food chains, energy loss through food chains, parasites, mutualism, interspecific and intraspecific relationships, adaptations (specialists, generalists, extremophiles, anatomical and behavioural adaptations).
