I am a retired lecturer/teacher since 2012. I worked for 35 years in London as a secondary school teacher and FE Lecturer. My main subject areas was Business Studies at BTEC Levels 1-3, HND in Business, Law, Accounting and economics, Tourism and IT trainer, and Job Centre vocational courses. I was a former Work Experience Coordinator. In 2016, I changed tack and worked for four years as a Visitor Engagement Assistant at the Palace of Westminster, home of the UK Parliament. This role involved leading tours through the building of groups - constituents, tourists and school/college groups. I also gave talks on aspects of Parliaments, and other themes such as the Suffragette movement. Outside of teaching, I am a author of two textbooks and a book on Parliament. I was a columnist/assignment writer for a former magazine called 'Business Education Today'.
