ADVANCED BEGINNER SPANISH INTERMEDIATE SPANISH ADVANCED SPANISH HIGH-FREQUENCY SPANISH VERBS ***Files are non-editable in a zipped format. The product is copyright, all rights reserved. It may not be copied, rewritten, amended, shared or distributed in any way outside your own classroom. Please read the Terms of Use. The product is free to download, but Terms of Use still apply. *** 25 high-frequency Spanish verbs, listed alphabetically Spanish-English and English-Spanish ideal as a year-round reference resource, and students find it particularly useful for exam revision, whether working in class time or at home. It’s useful for advanced beginner Spanish students to provide a language learning map, for intermediate Spanish students who are working with more complex language and texts, including authentic resources, and advanced Spanish students as a vocabulary audit and enrichment. The verbs are all in the infinitive form and include regular and irregular Spanish verbs. It’s important in language learning to ensure that students quickly develop a useful Spanish verb vocabulary bank, are able to recognize high-frequency Spanish verbs, and are confident with the meaning of those verbs in their first or home language. At that point students can move swiftly on to looking at conjugation and using the verbs in a communicative and practical context, enabling them to produce more detailed and descriptive language. This is an integral element to successful language learning. Students shouldn’t take on the task of learning long lists of verbs or other vocabulary all at once though: frequent and regular use in real-world practical contexts is far more successful at embedding vocabulary into longer-term memory. I also use the books for quick vocabulary quizzes, again at frequent and regular intervals - I simply shout out the Spanish or English verb, the first student or team to shout out the correct answer wins a point. I’ve found this to be a really successful alternative to more formal vocabulary testing. The list is a great time-saver for teachers too - if you’re preparing resources focusing on high-frequency Spanish verbs for your students, the list is a good starting point. There are two backgrounds to choose from - Spanish flag, which I tend to use for Spanish vocabulary display or Spanish grammar display, and plain. Have a browse in my store for more Spanish vocabulary reference lists, and a wide range of other Spanish teaching and learning resources, with Spanish dollar deals, special offer bundles and lots of freebies. ¡MUCHAS GRACIAS Y BUEN APRENDIZAJE!

PRIMARY FRENCH IMMERSION BEGINNER FRENCH FOR CHILDREN TELLING TIME ANALOG HALF PAST THE HOUR LIST WITH MATCHING CLOCK FACES The resource is non-editable in a zipped format. It may not be copied, rewritten, amended, shared or distributed outside your own classroom. The license is a single-user license only. Please read the Terms of Use. The resource is free to download, but Terms of Use still apply. I like to give visual vocabulary lists to my young beginner learners of French, as they can generally more easily assimilate new language and vocabulary when they are able to link it in their memory with a visual image, and it’s particularly important to match a clock time with the corresponding clock face when learning how to tell time. Children glue the lists into their French vocabulary books, or file them in their French vocabulary folders with other vocabulary lists, which gives them an accessible and useful French vocabulary reference bank for both class and home learning. For young and / or beginner French learners, I focus initially on a single time set, and this list shows half past the hour on a single page. This is because in my experience students benefit from a very clear outline of new language and vocabulary, avoiding lots of text on a single page - even my older students who are completely new to French prefer this. When I’m sure that students are confident with o’clock, I then move on to additional time sets. There are two backgrounds to choose from - French flag, which I use for French vocabulary display, or plain. My students find this super simple worksheet freebie focusing on half past the hour really useful: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-telling-time-half-past-worksheets-freebie-12908519 Have a look at this reference guide for telling time in French, every analog clock time with matching clock faces: ($3): HOW TO TELL TIME IN FRENCH : GUIDE WITH EVERY ANALOG CLOCK TIME https://www.tes.com/en-us/teaching-resource/french-telling-time-reference-book-12507037 Have a browse in my store for more French visual vocabulary lists, and a wide range of other French teaching and learning materials, with French dollar deals, special offer bundles, and lots of freebies. I encourage my beginner French students to build up comprehensive vocabulary banks that they can reference easily whenever they need it - we also use them for quick vocabulary quizzes, spelling competitions and so on. This particular sheet is for my more experienced French learners, who’ve been learning French for a while - all the numbers are on a single page in landscape format, so the font is fairly small, but they’re comfortable with quite a bit of text on a single page - beginner learners do need to have language very clearly accessible. Have a look at this version that I give my absolute French beginners - the numbers are across two pages in portrait format: FRENCH NUMBERS 0-100 LIST FREEBIE #1 https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-numbers-0-100-list-freebie-1-12150350 My students all have reference resource folders or files - these can have a range of formats - for instance, sticking into a large exercise book, or punching holes down the left-hand side, and adding to files (we also use twine or thick string). BEGINNER ITALIAN INTERMEDIATE ITALIAN ITALIAN GRAMMAR HIGH-FREQUENCY ITALIAN VERBS LIST FREEBIE 25 high-frequency Italian verbs, listed alphabetically Italian-English and English-Italian ideal as a year-round reference resource, and students find it particularly useful for exam revision, whether working in class time or at home. It’s useful for advanced beginner Italian students to provide a language learning map, and for intermediate Italian students who are working with more complex language and texts, including authentic resources, and as a vocabulary audit and enrichment. The verbs are all in the infinitive form and include regular and irregular high-frequency Italian verbs. I’ve noted where a verb is conjugated with essere, which is a really handy quick guide to the particular features of the verb, and useful for later learning when we look at conjugation, such as the passato prossimo for example. It’s important in language learning to ensure that students quickly develop a useful Italian verb vocabulary bank, are able to recognize high-frequency Italian verbs, and are confident with the meaning of those verbs in their first or home language. At that point students can move swiftly on to looking at conjugation and using the verbs in a communicative and practical context, enabling them to produce more detailed and descriptive language. This is an integral element to successful language learning. I’ve found that vocabulary lists are a great language learning support resource, and they’re really popular with students too. They work well when students keep them carefully in learning files or folders for current and future reference, either in class or at home. They also work well printed double-sided and laminated for small-group work in class. The list is a great time-saver for teachers too - if you’re preparing resources focusing on high-frequency Italian verbs for your students, the list is a good starting point. I’ve found that the lists are a great learning support resource, and they’re really popular with students too. They work well when students keep them carefully in learning files or folders for current and future reference. They also work well printed double-sided and laminated for small-group work in class. This list is a collection of 35 high-frequency common German conjunctions and connectives that students will meet in the advanced beginner to intermediate stages of German learning programs, and useful for students beginning advanced German as a vocabulary audit. It’s an important step in language learning is to ensure that students quickly develop a useful vocabulary bank, are able to recognise German conjunctions and connectives, and are confident with the meaning of those words in their first / home language, so that they can produce more detailed and descriptive language and more complex sentences and texts as soon as possible. Students shouldn’t take on the task of learning 35 conjunctions and connectives all at once though - this is more of a longer-term reference resource that students can use to audit their developing German vocabulary, and it is definitely the case that frequent and regular use in real-world practical contexts is far more successful at embedding vocabulary into longer-term memory. There are two alphabetical lists - one German-English, and one English-German, as I’ve found that most language students prefer to have both as a reference resource. ESL EFL ENGLISH FOR CHILDREN NUMBERS 0-31 BEGINNER ENGLISH NUMBERS 0-31 I HAVE, WHO HAS? The resource is non-editable in a zipped format. It is copyright, all rights reserved. It may not be copied, rewritten, shared or distributed outside your classroom in any way. It is free to download, but Terms of Use still apply - please read them carefully. English Numbers 0-31 I have, Who has? This is a whole-group lively & communicative language learning game, perfect for practicing, reinforcing & refreshing how to count from 0 - 31 in English. The game has a***multi-skill focus: listening, speaking & reading***, with an important bonus focus on social interaction and participation. It’s perfect for pronunciation practice too. The aim of the game is to create an English number chain as quickly as possible, starting with the first card zero, and ending with the final card, thirty-one. The game works just as well if the number sequence is placed on the floor, a longish table, or other flat surface. I created the game for my young beginner learners, but I’ve also played the game with my adult learners, who really enjoy it too - the monster theme is popular with everyone! The design is four cards per page, which allows for a large font - this is really important for beginner language learners who are starting to familiarize themselves with the written word. Try to print in color if you can - it adds to the visual appeal of the game, which is a real motivator for learning. Download, print out, laminate, cut out & shuffle the cards. I’d definitely recommend you laminate the cards, despite the extra prep and expense. They’re far more learner-friendly, and they will last for absolutely years. Distribute the cards, one or two per student, depending on how many students you have in your group. I often play too - students really do enjoy it when I join in, and they seem to work that little bit harder on their concentration and pronunciation. Students walk around the room, talking to each other in their best English accent, sharing the information on their cards, until they have arranged the numbers in the correct order. The game works best played against a timer, regularly over a longer-term series of lessons - can students beat beat their own time record? I always do some high-speed counting warm-up activities, forwards & backwards, to get everyone ready to play! Have a browse in my store for more English resources, including English dollar deals, special offer bundles, and freebies. THANKS AND ENJOY THE GAME!

MATH CENTER WORD SEARCH NUMBERS 0-10 Word searches a fabulous way of encouraging learners to engage with the written word, practicing and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. This is a free word search, focusing on Numbers 0-10. The search offers a really useful learning opportunity - consolidating not only new numbers, but also working on reading, writing, spelling and literacy skills in general - children often focus on the arithmetic skills involved with numbers, but it’s just as important to work on consolidating the written words too. It’s ideal for both math centers, as a fun-time filler as well as a targeted practice of the written numbers themselves. Word searches are easily differentiated, with opportunity to increase challenge gradually, and learners have to look very carefully at letters, and how words are constructed to complete the grid. They are able to identify which direction words are located in within the grid by referring to the arrow key. Here, for additional consolidation, they also rewrite each number in the word column. There is an answer grid for the word search, so that learners can check their answers - or use for a little extra help if they need it! For me, answer keys are essential, as they not only provide learners with another opportunity to engage with language, but they also help them develop more independence in their learning. They’re also a great teacher time-saver - a real bonus! The word search is in landscape format, mirroring the common direction of reading and writing in English from left to right, facilitating learner engagement with the activity. The landscape format is also really useful for learners whose first language is written from right to left. There is a single grid per 8.5 x 11 (A4) sheet - I like to ensure that text is accessible to all learners, and at this stage of their learning, it’s absolutely essential that language looks accessible and manageable. This kind of activity is really versatile too, I use them as starters, refreshers, plenaries or fun-time fillers at any time during the school year, as well as when I’m introducing days of the week in Italian. ITALIAN NUMBERS 0-21 WORD WALL FREEBIE

(1)
ITALIAN FOR CHILDREN BEGINNER ITALIAN NUMBERS CLASSROOM DECOR NUMBERS 0-21 WORD WALL It’s really easy to create an instant introduction to numbers 0-21 in Italian with this set of word wall cards. They’re really useful during the numbers introduction phase, and I also use my word walls for developing language skills and awareness in general. I like to do number guessing and calculation games at regular intervals too. There are two cards per 8.5 x 11 (A4) page in landscape format - the words are definitely big enough for children to be able to read from various locations in the classroom, so that we can really get the most of our learning word wall - we do lots of***guessing and spelling games, and quick vocab quizzes*** for example. There are two backgrounds to choose from - Italian flag or black wave. I definitely recommend that you print on card stock and/or laminate for longevity - you’ll be able to enjoy your Italian Numbers Word Wall for years to come!
