Students will be able to refer back to their motivation and reward to help them reach their goal. A sample sheet with suggested responses is also included.
Multitasking Challenge - Box Plot Activity
Do you students ever say that they are good multitaskers? Use this activity to show them that their typical perception of multitasking is actually an act of “task switching” and is a hindrance to learning. By using one class timer, each student will discover how long it takes them to complete two separate writing challenges. After the challenges are complete, you can use this data to have students find the five number summary in order to create and compare box plots of the challenge times. This activity can lead to a great class discussion that can encourage students to avoid distractions when they are doing school work.
3D Cake In The Coordinate Plane

This activity has students use graphing, surface area, volume, unit conversion, Pythagorean Theorem, and more! Great for an end of the year review activity or a great way to tie in numerous mathematical concepts!
PDF file includes 2 page worksheet and 2 page answer key.
Graph-A-Palooza (Linear Equations)
Are you trying to help your students see the connection between slope-intercept, point-slope, and standard form? If so, Graph-A-Palooza is the activity for you.
With four pages and a total of 16 problems, students will begin by finding the slope between two points. Once they find the slope, students will write an equation in point slope form and then convert that equation to slope intercept form. After this, students will convert their equation to standard form and use that equation to easily find the x and y intercepts. Students will plot the two given two points, any x and y intercepts that they find, and then they will draw a line connecting the points. Students should then verify that the slope matches their graphs and that all the concepts and ideas connect together.
This is a great activity to reinforce the three forms of equations and see how they are all connected. Students must be able to work with fractions and distribution to complete all of the problems.

Calculus The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus (Visualization Guide)
This calculus study guide will helps students differentiate between the height of a function, the average height of the function, the slope of a tangent line, the slope of a secant line, the area under a curve, and the change in height between two points. Students will compare these six characteristics of a function using an original function as well as its antiderivative function.
There are 16 total problems where students can conceptually draw in the visuals themselves. An answer key is included as well.
