AQA Lang Controlled Assessment Oliver twist lsn This is a scheme of work that was used for coursework on the old spec. & it can now be adapted é changed for the teaching of Oliver Twist (pre 1914 prose). This was written to gather info. on how the state treated Oliver but can now be used for either identity or family, depending on the year of entry. All lesson powerpoints have been uploaded as separate lessons with the same heading above, so they can be easily searched for and resources that I have, are uploaded with the lessons too for ease of locating.

Do We Need ICT Writing To Argue Lesson This is one of a series of 8 lessons that have all been uplaoded on the debate of whether or not we really need ICT - The scheme goes through a series of persuasive techniques - using AFOREST - amd culilates in pupils creating their own argumenet for or against the motion. Aimed at Key stage 3 - year 8.

This is one of many resources, full lesson powerpoints and quizes that I have uploaded on the short story 'Through The Tunnel'. The lessons aim to encouage pupils to read the story, evaluate the ending and then write an alternative ending. Great for practising narritive and imaginative writing skills. I use it with mixed abiility year 9 pupils and APP it for a level. All resources are uploaded with the same heading for ease of search if you'd like to use them together. Pupils really enjoy this unit.

This is a scheme of lessons that was used before the new ofsted criteria and can be a starting point if anyone wants to teach pupils about teaching and how to rate teachers . i.e for pupil voice initiatives. It's certainly far from the finished article but would be a good starting point for someone.

Writing To Describe Techniques & Stimulus PP 6 This is a full lesson PP on the topic of writing to describe - I've uploaded 13 in total from this series and all have avrious different stimuli but use the same techniques of appealing to the senses and covering writing techniques. Alll can be used together or as standalone - just may need some adapting to your own topic.
