Titanic Literacy Unit Lesson 3 This is one of the lessons from a unit of work on The Titanic. The unit explores the Titanic and uses this as the context. Pupils learn and engage with it and develop their literacy at the same time. Ideal for Histpry lessons as well as English and targeted at year 7 level 4 learners. There are other lessons that I've uploaded from the same scheme of work.

Titanic SOW for Level 2/3 pupils(in KS3) lesson This is one full lesson plan with the pp and resources (if I made them) that is part of a full scheme of work that I have uploaded. There are 18 lessons altoghter and they have all been uploaded separately. In some cases, there is only a lesson plan as I've planned it but not made all the PPs. I will add PPs as I create them. Aimed at year 7 who are below level 4 and utilises lots of Kagan practice.

Literacy Starter – Apostrophes & Commas These few slides can be added to the start of any lesson to use as a settler for when the pupils come into the room and to incorporate literacy skills into your lesson. This particular exercise is a text that pupils need to correct.

KS3 History Witches Lesson 4 This is 1 full lesson on PP from a series of 6 lessons on Witchcraft. Other lessons are also uploaded 1-6 under the same title.

Geography Skills – What is geography? This is a full lesson PP that is part of a humanities curriculum covering History and Geography strands, as well as Literacy. This lesson is ready to teach and can be used as part of the whole unit that I have uploaded, but each is a standalone lesson so can be taught alone. This lesson covers what the subject it.

Autobiography KS3 – Who Am I? This is one of several lessons that I have uploaded that are about autobiographical writing. The lessons are PowerPoints that are ready to deliver – but you may wish to update them for your own context and they can be taught together or as standalone lessons. This lesson gets pupils to annotate a photo of who they are.

Harry Potter - Dumbledore’s Influence This is one lesson of several lessons that I have uploaded (with resources if applicable) on the novel harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows. All of the lessons are PowerPoints that are ready to teach, although you may wish to adopt them for your own context. This full lesson covers how atmosphere is created.

Oliver Twist – How to write PEA chains This lesson teaches pupils how to structure PEA chains and introduces the AQA mark scheme for B and A grade reading. There are model PEA chains and part chains for pupils to practise how to develop them.

This APP Pupil speak Writing self evaluation sheet is used to mark pupils work - they fill it in and so does the teacher - designed to encourage participation in improving grades as an AFL tool.

This is one of several resources that I have uploaded that relate to Haig and whether or not he was incompetent. For ease of locating, the title stem is the same: ' Was Haig Incompetent?, should you wish to use them together - These are from my PGCE year, so will need to be adapted and updated but I am confiedent that they're a starting point for some. This resource is a lesson that gets pupils to use sources effectively to support their ideas.

These are two lessons that follow each other in sequence for the AQA Language exam. Each refers to the mark scheme and has separate techniques that can be used to help to create descriptive writing. They also have opportunities for PEA reading answers and self evaluation.

This is part of a full scheme of work - all uploaded as separate powerpoints, as they are separate resources under the title 'Ballads Full Scheme of Work; Lesson Number' There are up 14 lessons, but the last three are covered by a writing frame as lessons 11 - 14. It's aimed at Key Stage 3 and was written in my PGCE year, so may need some updating and tying into APP criteria to upgrade it, but it's certainly a good starting place.
