These resources span my career; from my period of teaching unqualified, through to an AST of English & Director of Teaching & Learning. Although my specialism is English, I have taught GCSE Citzienship, Language and Lit, Media Studies, Maths & History. I have also taught all of those at Key Stage 3, so there is an eclectic mix here. As the main trainer in my previous school, I have uploaded many insets and training session powerpoints too.

This is one of my staff training tools - I've uploaded lots of them all under the whole school / cpd in school / staff training banner - so, if, like me, you have to organise staff training, you can have a look at all of mine and use them as a springboard. This is one on what presence is and how it can help in the classroom

Outstanding English Lessons For 6th Forms / Colleg

This is a full 2 hour training session that I designed for a local college when the framework changed for English and post 16 education. It was designed to help those delivering English get some ideas on how to make their lessons outstanding. Lots of ideas are included and this can easily be cut apart to be used for other subjects or across the school. I have also uploaded a very similar powerpoint for 11-16 schools. This one refers to the ofsted criteria for post 16 education

Half Caste Full Lesson PP Analyse and compare

This is one of a series of lessons that I am uploading on the old AQA anthology poems. The lessons obviously have a comparative strand running through them and there are lessons for all of the poems from Cluster 1 and 2 uploaded as well as lessons that compare two poems or teach how to analyse them / compare them. Obviously no use for the old spec, but entirwely useful for the poetry comparison piece of controlled assesment in the new AQA spec.
