A useful tool to aid teachers and support staff who are delivering SEMH intervention to monitor and track sessional progress. This spreadsheet allows you to enter a session-by-session RAG record of how students have accessed the intervention, with options to add further steps/ steps for future learnings. You can then use this record to create a complete overview of their time on the programme, which can then be used as supporting evidence to signpost onto additional interventions if necessary. School leaders may also use this as a prompt to use for meetings with parents or external services so underpin specific areas where specialist or targeted support is required. This tracker can be edited to facilitate/ reflect your provision’s unique requirements.

Complete Intervention programme for LGBTQ+? with resources

This complete intervention programme will provide up to 12 weeks’ worth of supportive study for students who are experiencing identity or gender worries or issues. This programme of study has been carefully compiled to to empower students with up-to-date knowledge, advice and guidance. Students and young people undergoing this programme of study will explore a wide range of person-centred activities that boost self-esteem and individuality. Students will gain confidence in understanding their own bodies and feelings and be able to identify the correct channels to access support. This programme of study is complete with suggested starter activities, extension tasks and ‘big questions’. The resources are beautifully coordinated to represent inclusivity, with hidden messages and uplifting affirmations. The programme of study can adapted to be used on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, as part of tutor time sessions or even in assemblies. If you are looking for a whole-school approach to LGBT intervention, which can be differentiated for primary students all the way up to further educational settings, this is the perfect toolkit to use with your young people.

This resource can be used as part of a whole-school activity for Children’s mental health week or as a one of activity to help students engage and discuss any feelings they are keeping inside. Students should think about all of the feelings they are bottling up, these could be, worry, fear, loss etc. Students can also think about how this might look when those feelings fizz/spill out- does this look like angry outbursts, crying, self-isolating. This is a safe and non-invasive method of promoting a basis for talk therapy. Students can work independently, in a 1:1 setting with a teacher or in a small group to complete this activity.

This worksheet explores a range of scenario based questioning, enabling students to consider and explore how they might react in each situation/ what they might do. This activity helps students to navigate their way around the Facebook app safely, using a range of commonly used functions, such as ‘check-ins’, 'hashtags’and ‘emojis’. Students will use this activity to create a post that either inspire their younger selves a younger generation. Students will be able to reflect on the first thing they might have posted and how they would feel if they were to read it a number of year later. This is a short exercise that has been designed to generate high quality peer discussions.
