This guided research template/worksheet allows students to keep relevant, organised notes about any Art Movement studied in class. The BLANK student template is broken down into sections so that the information gathered can be categorised. This template/worksheet will help take the stress out of knowing what information to research and how to categorise the information for later use or study notes. The resource includes both US and UK versions of the student template/worksheet and teacher/student completed sample. Sections are broken down into manageable categories; Name of the art movement Period the art movement was active Where the art movement began (world location) What inspired the art movement to begin, and why The prominent art forms that emerged from the art movement The style and characteristics that make the art movement recognisable Space to list the names of 3 artists and artworks to emerge from this art movement ADDITIONAL NOTES At the bottom of the student template/worksheet, there is a selection of definitions for words used in the template/worksheet. These definitions will help clarify what information students should look for when undertaking their research: prominent, emerged, art form and characteristic. Celebrate Halloween with this easy-to-follow drawing task. The presentation has step-by-step instructions with diagrams and explanations for your students to follow. Simply display the presentation on a whiteboard/smart board and move through each step as it is achieved - this will give you the freedom to move around the room and assist students as required. Alternatively, you could use a copy of the instructions to teach the drawing to your class. The initial drawing is mapped out using squares and rectangles, so it is suitable for a range of skill levels and abilities. The last page of the presentation has samples of student work that has been coloured in - so you have the option to keep the drawing as a stand-alone task, or allow your students to apply colour to their Zombie! Please note that the mov. file included is a compressed version (6-second duration) of each step that has been mapped out in the presentation. The mov. file has been included to ‘spark interest’ in the activity should you wish to do so - it is not suitable to use as a guide on how to draw the Zombie.
