This lesson has the pupils engage with the understanding of David Hume’s view on miracles. Pupils must become sceptics and can analyse either a traditional miracle or a modern religious miracle. Pupils will look at the works of other philosophers and relate the views researched to their own personal views regarding miracles. The lesson offers different tasks depending on whether you wish to develop your pupils’ reading skills or analysis skills. There is a differentiated written task at the end which has pupils evaluate miracles and utilise all the knowledge they have learnt in the lesson. This lesson includes: Differentiated Tasks.
