I’ve made some quick notes that you can use to help understand Active Transport better! I’ve broken it down so it’s aesthetic, simple & easier to understand. I hope it helps! Note this may not be everything you need to know for your exam- I try to cover the fundementals of the topic. You will need to check your specification/ syllabus to see if you do/ do not need to learn the information in my resources. Points covered: Describe active transport as the movement of particles through a cell membrane from a region of lower concentration to a region of higher concentration (i.e. against a concentration gradient), using energy from respiration -Explain the importance of active transport as a process for movement of molecules or ions across membranes, including ion uptake by root hairs I’d love to hear your thoughts!
