The PowerPoint contains an intricate mindmap that encourages students to develop links within this topic; which teaches about monoclonal antibodies and plant disease; helping them to gain a greater depth of understanding of the unit. Can be used as a timed team game – allow each member of the team 1 minute to view the complete version then they race to fill in as much of their copy in 2 minutes as they can remember, repeat for each team member. Then ask the team to reflect on their mindmap and fill in any gaps using their own knowledge. It also works well as an individual task for a quiet summary/revision activity. For students that find it overwhelming to view the whole sheet I suggest covering half with plain paper and working on a section at a time to gradually build up the full picture.
