¡Hola! Welcome to my shop! I am an experienced Spanish Teacher who loves to create Spanish resources that look professional, are easy to use, and most importantly help students learn.
This European Day of Languages (Spanish) Activity booklet is my go-to resource for EDL. I created this resource because as much as I tried I couldn’t find something to suit my Spanish lessons for European Day of Languages. I wanted something that immersed students into the importance of the event, but also coincided with my method of teaching Spanish.
The booklet is suitable for a KS3 Spanish lesson solely around European Day of Languages but can also be used for KS4 to raise awareness about this important event.
The booklet contains the following: Vocabulary building activities, listening, reading, and writing tasks as well as ANSWERS to each activity at the end of the booklet. All activities are based on a sentence builder I created for European Day of Languages and the majority can be done independently.
Some activities can be subjective so I have given you some suggested answers to offer students some guidance on how a task should have been approached or to use them as examples before letting students start the work.
I wanted to incorporate as many skills as possible in this and for teachers to have freedom over the activities they choose to do. You can do some of them or all of them, it’s up to you!
As this includes a sentence builder, the activities are very Conti style so you will have things like matching words up, filling in the gap, finding words/expressions in a text as well as guided writing with some prompts.
The listening tasks DO NOT INCLUDE recordings, as I usually do my own listenings in the classroom. In the answers section you will find everything you need to run the activities in the listening part so, no need to worry! I’ve often found students respond better to sentences said by me as they are familiar with my voice, accent and pronunciation. Plus, all the activities are based on the SB so, I didn’t want students to be overwhelmed by the amount of new language.
This booklet is ideally aimed at KS3 but it can absolutely be used with lower KS4 sets. The are plenty of activities which should take you at least 1h to go through. You can also give it as homework if you’d like.
*You will receive a PDF version of this booklet so no changes can be made for copyright reasons.

This a bundle of activities for San Valentín suitable for KS3 and lower ability groups at KS4. If you’re looking for activities that will take your students through the 4 core skills of Spanish, this bundle is for you!
It includes the following activities:
Highlighter race
Vocab match up
Categorisation of nouns, adjectives, and verbs relating to San Valentín
Mindreader/Bingo
2x Translation Pyramids (1x in Spanish, 1x in English)
Writing Task (has a writing strip that students can follow to write a Valentine’s Day letter)
Listening Task (no audio provided - teacher must read aloud and students fill in the gaps)
Reading Tasks (Q&A and translation of a text)
Speaking Task (survey-like exercise)
Crossword (PDF non-editable)
Word search (PDF (non-editable)
The activities have teacher instructions where needed, in the notes section of each slide in the PPT. Answers are also provided for all tasks except the speaking task, translation pyramid, writing task, and highlighter race. The reason for this is the nature of these activities and the subjectivity of some tasks. To help with these though, students are provided with a sentence builder and an extra vocab sheet. I also encourage the use of dictionaries as well, just in case.
Please note this is not a lesson but a series of activities for you to pick from for each of your classes. You might want to dedicate more or less time to talking about San Valentín but whichever task you choose, students will be able to work on them with the support provided in the SB and vocab sheet.
All tasks except the crossword and word search are in a PPT format so they can be edited to your liking :)
If you purchase this bundle and are happy with the resources, I’d be really grateful if you could leave a review with any feedback!
A pack of alphabet letters in upper and lower case + punctuation signs (question mark, full stop, and exclamation mark) inspired by Day of the Dead.

All the pages print perfectly and look amazing on card paper and laminated.
This easy to use worksheet is the perfect start to a lesson to discuss La Navidad. It can be used as a starter or plenary to open a discussion about
Spain´s traditions for Christmas, but also as a tutor activity that can be done with students during registration if you’d like to make this a whole-school activity to promote languages.
Students must find different words relating to La Navidad in the word search looking for them across, vertically, horizontally and diagonally. Some letters are used twice to suit two words, so please let your students know that.
It shouldn’t take students more than 10 minutes to complete and if you’d like to expand the activity you could always explain why these words are specific to La Navidad. For example the meaning of the reyes magos or an explanation of what turrón and villancicos are.
You will get a PDF copy of the word search with ANSWERS included. I’ve made sure there is a black and white version as well as a coloured one depending on your printer.
