Need an art or science cover lesson that can be followed by a non specialist? This might do it. A nice little lesson that encourages students to explore the sculptural work of artist Luke Jerram as well as the properties of viruses. His glass sculptures recreate the complex forms of viruses like the common cold and Covid.
Once students have done some background research, they are then encouraged to start developing their own artwork based on viruses. A great way of linking art and science. The lesson plan is super easy to follow.
It’s not grade specific because all ages can explore the theme here at their own level.
