I hope my resources simplify your planning, give you the much needed extra hours for an improved work-life balance and take your teaching to the heights you want it to go.

I couldn't upload the whole SOW. But here are the ppts - not in order (they were but when they uploaded they were shuffled about by the uploader based on size I think) though I think they all have dates on them.
I hope they help someone :)

What is this resource?
This is a simple to use (tried and tested) self and peer pssessment SPAG check using literacy notations.
How do I use it?
The teacher uses these codes when they mark the pupils’ work.
The students then use a green pen and use the teacher’s codes to correct their work before re-drafting their writing (minus the errors).
Alternatively, the check sheet can be used as a peer assessment task – again using a green pen - or as a simple self-assessment task after the teacher has marked the pupils’ exercise book. In this instance, the student examines the corrections the teacher has made and amends the SPAG errors (using the codes) in a green pen.

This is a ppt offering sentence starters of each thinking hat.
Teachers can select hats they want the class to work from, or ask the class to select a hat before they start working etc
It makes a good mini plenary task to break up a lesson into learning segments.
This sheet can be used as an in-class self assessment after a mock of AQA’s “Paper 2: Writer’s Viewpoints and Perspectives” or as a HW task after the Mocks.
Use this task as a starter or a plenary to guage your students’ feelings and thoughts about a topic/lesson/task etc.
If you print 2 slides on A4 it still gives the students enough room to write a short response that can lead to a class discussion.
For the post Mocks period.
This sheet can be used as an in-class self assessment after a mock of AQA’s “Paper 1: Explorations in creative reading and writing” or as a HW task after a mock of AQA’s “Paper 1: Explorations in creative reading and writing”.
This is inspired by the 6 Thinking Hats paradigm except it deploys numeracy (i.e. commonly misunderstood shapes and their names) to improve students numeracy in English.
Enjoy!
Great for HW or as an end of lesson task after studying two poems consecutively enabling students to gather their ideas while the poems are still in their working memory. They can then take the sheet home and use their notes to write an essay, or at least the first few paragraphs.
This can be used across the school to encourage student to reflect on their literacy development and self-editing skills.
If you print two slides per 1 piece of A4 it can be easily glued in after a student has completed the work and before the teacher marks it.
It is useful for ensuring students are critically assessing their own work so they become independent learners.
Also, it’s good for showing progression if you’re planning on getting students to re-draft their work after you’ve marked it.
