This centre activity bundle will provide your students with a fun way to practise the 1-12 times tables. Both colour and black and white templates included. ITEMS INCLUDED ✅ Centre Manipulatives in colour for times tables 1-12 ✅ Centre Manipulatives in black and white for times tables 1-12 ✅ Practice Sheets x 4 for each times table ✅ File folder cover for each times table THE ACTIVITY: ⚫ Students will feed each ‘Biggy Mouth’ animal by matching each multiplication sentence (food) to its product (animal). ⚫ Once students have matched each multiplication sentence with its product, they may complete the times tables activity sheets. There are four practice sheets; two sheets have the times tables horizontally written and the other two, vertically written. In the first sheet, the times tables are written in order, while the second sheet, the times tables are mixed up. PREPARATION: ⚫ Cut apart and laminate the times tables centre manipulatives for durability. ⚫ Glue the cover sheet for each times table on a file folder and place the laminated center maniupulatives along with the practice sheets inside. ⚫ Place at a maths centre.

Recommended Use Students can refer to the sample poem types to write their own poems on the themed lined sheets provided. Simply keep the laminated sample poems, lined sheets, and copies of the checklist in a folder for easy access (print version). The digital version in Google Slides displays a sample poem alongside the writing template. The slides can also be downloaded and printed out. The digital PowerPoint slides can be uploaded to your online learning management system. Use the Teacher Marking Rubric to grade written poems. A performance rubric is also included with no scoring, but just criteria. Use the ‘My Anthology of Poems’ cover sheet to compile each student’s poems into a poetry anthology. This will definitely be a memorable keepsake for your students. For the digital Google Slides version, I assign a couple of poems at a time via Google Classroom. Students refer to the sample poem alongside to write out their own version. They ‘Turn it’ in when completed. Students also present their poems to the class.

This graphing unit features interpreting data in bar graphs and pictographs. Data is collected using concrete materials such as visuals, dice, spinners, coins and M&M’s . This data is then represented in bar graphs and interpreted. The section on pictographs requires collected data to be interpreted. These no prep printables facilitate students to move from the concrete to the abstract. Use this flipbook organiser to scaffold the structure of a fiction Book Report. The prompts for each of the key elements of the Report will help students write effectively and keep on track. WHAT’S INCLUDED: → Six posters/anchor charts on a fiction book report and its key elements. Print, laminate and display in class and/or view as PDF slideshow. → Cover (editable) templates x 8 (students details and quote editable) → Editable templates x 5: The Setting, Main Characters, The Summary (x2), What I Thought (prompts editable) → Lined sheets for publishing x 4 → Teacher Marking Rubric x 3 → Self-editing and Peer editing Checklists → Banners (plain and decorated) ************************************************************************* SUGGESTED USE: ♦ Project the PDF file on the interactive notebook to introduce the parts of a fiction book report via the posters/anchor charts. Also show students the flipbook templates and completed sample. Discuss the requirements for each template of the book report. ♦ Have students collect information in their flipbook on the specific book under study. This could also serve as their draft where they could use the self-editing and peer-editing checklists to edit. Finally have students publish on given writing sheets or type out content from draft observing corrections. ************************************************************************* HOW TO ASSEMBLE FLIPBOOK: You can choose either of the two options. ⇒ Print out the templates in blackline. Cut around each template and assemble from smallest template to largest template. Have students colour in pages. Staple at top tab for flipbook or glue descending order in notebook. ⇒ Print out the templates on cardstock (different colours). Cut around each template and assemble. Attach at top. ************************************************************************* PREPARATION → For grades 2-3, bundle up to 6 sheets together after sorting, align them perfectly and cut. → For grades 4-6, students are old enough to cut and compile flipbooks on their own. I have my students compile all sections of the flipbook prior to research and writing. DISPLAY After completion, display students’ flipbooks under the Banner. These flipbooks are sure to make an interesting bulletin board display.
