Introduce pupils to different time phrases that refer to particular tenses (past, present & future), allowing them to show off their knowledge of tenses in a simple way. After introducing the time phrases, pupils must identify which tense must be used for each time phrase that appears on the board. They do this by stepping backwards (past), stomping (present) and stepping forwards (future).

For the present tense, they either stomp or point down. For the future tense, they must either point in front of them or take a step forwards.
