This resource comprises an 80 question knowledge test based on the key information of the League of Nations. Currently used as a fact test / team quiz / revision resource for my students studying CIE IGCSE, i’ve also used it for the Edexcel IGCSE module on the League of Nations as well as for the British GCSE curriculum. The test is broken down into the 8 segments outlined below and could be used all together as a single summative assessment or a fun team based quiz at the end of the topic. Alternatively the test could be delivered as 8 mini checkpoints throughout the course either as a starter, plenary or homework task. Resource details: Section A: Origins and Aims of the League of Nations (10 questions) Section B: Power and Membership of the League of Nations (10 questions) Section C: Organisation of the League of Nations (Main Structures, Agencies, and Commissions) (10 questions) Section D: Successes and Failures of the League in the 1920s (10 questions) Section E: The League’s Humanitarian Work (5 questions) Section F: How Did the Great Depression affect the League of Nations? (5 questions) Section I: Causes, Events, and Consequences of the Abyssinian Crisis (10 questions) Section J: What Were the Main Reasons for the League of Nations Failure in the 1930s? A clear, comprehensive and accessible revision mind map for KS4 students studying the League of Nations for IGCSE (Cambridge 0470, Paper 1) or the British GCSE. I have used this for both qualifications where the content is identical. This resource contains a detailed summary of the threats to the League of Nations success, focusing specifically on their ambitious aims, limited power, membership rules, lack of organisation and democratic structures, and environmental threats. This mind map breaks down the key details and most salient points into a single visual, colour coded knowledge organiser. **Fantastic for less-able students who struggle with note making or those high flyers who struggle to condense. These mind maps have been invaluable with my own Year 10 and 11 classes for consolidating, condensing and linking together key information. 1920S USA REVISION GUIDE AND ACTIVITY BOOK - KS4 GCSE & IGCSE CONTENT

(0)
A complete 40 page revision guide covering every inch of 1920s America. This guide is perfect for **streamling and consolidating **the content of the 1920s for any KS4 students studying History at GCSE or IGCSE level. Most of my students love History. Many of them, however, say they struggle to remember the vast amounts of content and nitty gritty details of every topic. Even more say they struggle to know how to revise when they’re on their own. This 40 page revision guide and activity booklet was designed last year with them in mind, as a way to streamline the content of their US depth study and provide them with stimulating and challenging review tasks throughout to make their revision active, rather than passive, and in doing so maximise understanding and recall! This booklet contains full summaries of the key causes, features, events and consequences of the economic boom on US society, and examines the political, economic and social facets of each of these. In particular, my students found the breakdowns of key concepts into mnemonics, flow charts, fact files and colourful mindmaps extremely helpful in chunking the course content into easily digestible pieces and linking different aspects together. Alongside these accessible and engaging explanations are numerous revision activites such as: challenge grids, knowledge organisers, diamond 9s, gap fills, scaffolded exam questions, model answers, colour codes, source analyses and many more. This booklet covers the 1920s and social change only. Part two, covering the bust of the 1930s and attempted recovery during Hoover, FDR and WWI will be available soon! HISTORY IGCSE REVISION GUIDE - USA DEPTH STUDY (1920s) (CIE, PAPER 4)

(1)
This resource has been produced following the completion of the New Paper 4 IGCSE training course delivered by Cambridge International Examinations for the 2024 onwards specification (CIE), as well as pupil feedback from the first cohort. Most of my students love History. Many of them, however, say they struggle to remember the vast amounts of content and nitty gritty details of every topic. Even more say they struggle to know how to revise when they’re on their own. This 50 page revision guide and activity booklet was designed last year with them in mind, as a way to streamline the content of the US depth study and provide them with stimulating and challenging review tasks throughout to make their revision active, rather than passive, and in doing so maximise their understanding as well as their recall abilities! This booklet provides a complete review of 1920s USA content for the CIE IGCSE Depth Study (Paper 4). It contains full summaries of the key causes, features, events and consequences of the economic boom on US society, and examines the political, economic and social facets of each of these. The Paper 4 was new to all of us last year so I was thrilled when numerous students in my class gained over 35/40, with one student gaining 40/40. This booklet and my paper 4 masterclass were the two things students cited as most helpful in their pupil voice reflections after the exam. This booklet covers the 1920s and social change only. Part two, covering the bust of the 1930s and attempted recovery during Hoover, FDR and WWI will be available soon! IGCSE History Paper 2 model answers (2024) - KQ5, Cuba focus (CIE 0470)

(0)
A complete set of 5 model answers for the 2024 Paper 2 topic - KQ5 (Containment). These model answers focus specifically on the Cuban Missile Crisis and contain a broad cross section of question types for this paper. This lesson has been produced following the completion of the new Paper 4 IGCSE training course delivered by Cambridge International Examinations for the 2024 specification (CIE). Great for use as in class activities or as a whole pre-made assessment with the model answers to support feedback. Crucially, I’ve found using model answers such as these invaluable when walking students through exam technique during revision sessions, and helping to translate the demands of the mark scheme into something tangible and understandable. Having the models to serve as clear examples of what high scoring answers should look like has resulted in higher quality assessment answers from my own classes, as well as those of my colleagues. Students too have commented on how useful it has been to have a benchmark to measure their own answers against, while doing independent revision and practising past paper questions at home. Specific content: Study Sources A and B. How far do these sources agree? Explain your answer using details from the sources. Study Source C. Why was this cartoon published on 29th October 1962? Explain your answer using details from the source and your knowledge. Study Sources D and E. How far does Source D make Source E surprising? Explain your answer using details from the sources and your knowledge. Study Source F. What is the cartoonist’s message? Explain your answer using details from the source and your own knowledge. Study ALL the sources. How far do these sources provide convincing evidence that the Cuban Missile Crisis was a success for Khrushchev? Use the sources to explain your answer. NEW 2024 IGCSE HISTORY PAPER 1 QUESTION BANK (CIE, 0470)

(0)
This resource consists of 65 PAPER 1 (A, B, C) STYLE QUESTIONS for the Cambridge History IGCSE Paper 1 core content for the 2024 June examination. The 65 questions are divided equally between the content of Chapters 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6. Chapter 5 is naturally omitted as this content will be used for Paper 2 this year, and as such students will not be tested on this during Paper 1. All materials included in this bundle have been produced following the completion of the New 2024 IGCSE training course delivered by Cambridge International Examinations for the 2024 specification. This question bank is an excellent resource to use throughout the year for either Year 10 as you introduce those key Paper 1 exam skills or for Year 11 to revisit and revise both content and exam technique in advance of their summer exams! Some ways in which I have used them include: Using Question As as a snappy starter to get students to recap key content quickly. Using Question Bs as a consolidation task/ plenary after examining or revising the key content. These are especially great for reminding students how to explain effectively in the run up to an assessment/ mock/ exam. Using Question Cs for longer practice at extended analytical writing - either as a main task, a weekly homework or revision task for Year 11. If you’re short on time, they’re also great for drafting essay plans to get students used to carving out those 3-4 minutes in the real exam to organise their themes and main line of argument. Selecting a batch of 3 for a ready made assessment without the hassle of trawling through past exam papers! There’s enough here to see you through the two year course and more! This resource is best used in conjunction with the New IGCSE History Paper 1 Exam Technique Masterclass for 2024 (CIE 0470). This masterclass breaks down the Paper 1 markscheme into student friendly language that’s accessible to all, and offers step by step guidance on structure (with scaffolded writing support), content and how to hit the highest mark on every question! Bonus freebies include an **essay writing masterclass **and a model Qc answer, as well as more practice questions with mark schemes! Fancy some model answers to go with your question bank? I’ve compiled model answers for ABC question sets for KQ1, KQ2 and KQ3! (If you want a bargain, they’re even cheaper if you buy the bundle!) They make a great assessment resource by speeding up marking and double as ready made feedback lessons, saving you hours of planning!
