All spec codes must be examined through a three year period with AQA exams. This is a spec code frequency analysis of 2015-16 exams for both foundation and higher exam papers leading to very specific lesson focus and pupil revision. It highlights spec codes that HAVE NOT appeared in the last two years leading to a very high probability of them appearing in summer 2017. This tool has analysed 2016 and 2015 exam papers and completed a frequency count of each lettered spec code. This summarises into a combined table to prepare for the 2017 exams. It highlights lettered spec codes that have not been assessed in the last two years by showing as green. Being the last year of AQA exams before the 1-9 exams there is a very high probability of possible topics that will appear in the summer exams. It colours through a spectrum of red to green, of other specs which have been assessed, but infrequently. It shows this by a simple count and relative frequency to the number of spec codes. The relative analysis tool shows how common it has appeared in the last two years relative to the number of spec points. A low spec count could still have a high relative count showing a lower probability. There is also a combined summary for F and H papers if you teach mixed groups. Each analyse is shown graphically leading to easy displays for pupils to review key areas to focus. On following tabs there is a full spec checklist filterable by their appearance in either F, H or both so pupils can view this information in a checklist explaining each spec point. This has then lead to a checklist revision list for both F and H papers. A F and H revision list of past exam question specifically themed on these areas to help support and lead revision up to the summer exams. The aim of the support pack is to help prepare for the summer exams of 2017. This is a very unique situation where we can have a good chance of using this analyse to target revision and focus the pupils.

Want to quickly and easily review a chapter of the AQA Combined Science Trilogy specification? Want to be able to lead pupils to a targeted revision list to enable them to close their gaps? This revision resource consists of a range of questions across the specific specification points. There are a minimum of two questions per spec code. The specification document has been closely used to guarantee the correct use of terminology and phrasing. This leads to pupils then self-marking after each sub topic. This will consist of them marking and noting the identified spec code in a WWW or EBI list. Once the quiz is completed they will then follow the instructions to create their own personalised review of the full quiz and self-generate their personalised revision list by specification name using the supplied list. This activity is 1-2 lessons depending on the depth of revision time you allow the pupils though these tasks can be class or homework. Lesson plan included.

Want to save time and review your classes on the new content but struggling to find suitable exam questions? Don’t know where to look for lesson plans or other resources? Don’t want to waste time looking and not sure where to look. This resource will help save you time and effort. It has used the official “Summary of Changes” document from AQA to link the old legacy spec to the new Combined Science Trilogy spec. I have pulled all the information from this and produced a useable, filterable, sortable open spreadsheet. There is a tab organised by the old spec codes to the new. This should help reorganise your old resources and map them across to aid planning and assessment. There is then another tab that is arranged by the new spec which should aid you in finding old resources that will enable you to plan and assess the new content. I have then added to the AQA document by including a full review of all the Biology exam questions from 2016-2014. This includes all B1, B2 and B3 units, for both higher and foundation, and mapped the legacy spec codes form these markschemes to the new spec codes. This means you can now have a full list of past AQA exam questions mapped to the new spec code. Simply filter by the codes you want to assess and you have your exam paper mapped out for you.

Differentiation and Randomisation Teacher Tool

Tired of spending time grouping your pupils by ability or for support. Want to group by literacy or numeracy. Feed up of the same pupils answering questions. Don't wont to waste time with the named lolly sticks random approach. Then this quick to set up, even quicker to use tool is for you. A whole school, non-subject specific tool designed to use a list of pupil names with linking subject, literacy and numeracy data as a teaching aid. Once the data is pasted in, which is a few minutes of work, then all tasks are completed for you by clicking built in buttons within the spreadsheet. The two main features are: Data related selection and grouping Random selection of single or grouped pupils. The main purpose of the use of random selection is to keep pupil focus as it removes choice from the teacher. Selecting which task you want is as easy as selecting the right tab at the bottom and then clicking the required buttons. It’s that simple. It will sort into differentiated groups of similar abilities based on either subject data, literacy data or numeracy data, with an included feature of randomly selecting these groups for feedback or other tasks. Refresh to arrange by a different choice. It will also arrange by groups with ranged abilities for peer support work, again on subject, literacy or numeracy with a random group selector option as well. It will randomly select a single pupil from a class list to keep pupils focussed and on task. It will also randomly group your class into groups from 2-10 based on your selection. It has a random number selector where you can select the min and max values if you wish to randomly select values to use. You may have numbered groups and then this will select which group answers. This is designed to be an all-round supportive teaching aid for you to be able to very easily and quickly differentiate, peer support and randomise your classes. Easily copied and pasted into PowerPoint to display groups to pupils with no raw data in view. Good for seating plans and ready to use instantly for your classes once data is in. Update your data termly to keep grouping relevant to your teaching needs. A set of MOCK data has been left in the document so that you can see how it should work upon download. Replace with your groups and off you go.
1-9 Tracking Pupil Labels

1-9 Tracking Pupil Labels

(0)
A set of documents for either a 3 year or 2 year GCSE course. This will generate large tracking labels that can be stuck to the front of a folder or book. All you have to do is paste in names, class, subject and target and the rest is done for you. This will work for 200+ pupils but can just be done for a single class. Each label is half an A4 so you get two to a sheet. It will present as a table that shows termly expected data leading to the pupils target over the full course. This can then be filled in each term to record their actual working at grade. From this progress can be calculated each term. This enables pupils to know where they should be and when they are slipping behind. It all requires is some pasting, mail merge and then print. Easy.

A set of documents used for pupils to quickly access all required documents to aid revision of Core and Additional Science Exams for 2017. I have uploaded under chemistry and physics as well, as there is no topic choice for just science. But it is the same set of documents as this, it includes all subjects for core and additional. Printable and displayable documents using QR codes, enabling pupils to scan and download straight to their electronic devices. Just project straight up on your board and off the pupils go. Or set up a display in the hallway for pupils to work independently away from the department using their devices. These QR codes cover all needed documents between 2013-2015 for both Core and Additional. (2016 are secure documents and not directly accessible by pupils) • Links to all exam papers. B1, C1, P1, B2, C2 and P2 for foundation and higher. • Links to all markschemes. B1, C1, P1, B2, C2 and P2 for foundation and higher. • Links to all examiners reports. B1, C1, P1, B2, C2 and P2 for foundation and higher. • Links to all pupils sheets. C1, C2, P1 and P2. • Links to all specifications. B1, C1, P1, B2, C2 and P2. • Links to all grade boundaries. B1, C1, P1, B2, C2 and P2 for foundation and higher. • Display headings document. Tried and tested with my classes and they really enjoy being able to scan and carry the documents away with them. These can be saved to their device and then emailed and printed like any other document.
