Pride Month assembly / form time tutorial which looks at the importance of being able to be our ‘true selves’ by listening to Phyllis Akua Opoku-Gyima, also known as Lady Phyll. Lady Phyll is a co-founder and executive director of UK Black Pride and talks about the challenges she faced growing up as well as the importance of being an ally for the rights of others, the lesson uses a clip about the F1 racer Lewis Hamilton to demonstrate this. The design of the resource is as a form time tutorial but it could easily be used as an assembly by replacing ‘discuss’ with ‘consider’. This resource uses the 2023 theme.
