I am a qualified teacher with ten years of teaching experience. My first love is creativity. I have a masters degree in art which, over the years of teaching in primary school, I have endeavoured to incorporate into lessons. I hope the resources prove useful and allow a spare moment or two.

A first day back inspirational resource. Use this poem to find out what the children want to achieve this year and how they are going to achieve it.
Use it to start a discussion on working together and how to achieve that.
As teachers, we all have strategies to engage children in their learning. Unfortunately, all classes are different and sometimes we need to change the strategy.
Focusing children on a whole range of achievements, no matter how small, is beneficial for the whole class.
The Learning Wolverine focuses on more than academic achievements. The focus is on how the child learns, not what they learn. Each achievement has its own merit as the child comes closer to being a Learning Wolverine.
The video is the main part of the strategy, which can be used to initiate discussion about the best learning environment.
There is also a follow up poster and child planner sheet.
I made this for inspiring the children who find poetry difficult.
Its a fun look at the day and shows what the children could get out of it.
Hope you enjoy it.
