They’re awesome for milling activities, providing scaffolding, and building speaking confidence. Not only do they make a great warmer for English, EAL, and ESL classes, but they can also be used to improve follow-up question skills and develop relationships between students and teachers. The cards feature starter questions, statements, and actions, and are split into eight, color-coded categories. Each category has ‘easier’ prompts (silver star cards) and ‘more difficult’ prompts (gold star cards). Detailed step-by-step instructions for 5 main activities and 1 extension activity are also provided. *** These are all different cards than in the 64-card Conversation Card Starter Pack. *** The cards are provided in .pdf format inside a zip file. Although the target grammar is quite basic, an annual or semester review always proved very helpful to many of my students. The grammar tables were also great revision-aids. I’ve provided 4 different versions of the worksheet: A4 color, A4 grayscale, A5 color, and A5 grayscale. The A5 sheets are designed to be printed on A4, cut in two and pasted into notebooks.
