A simple activity that allows students to demonstrate understanding of some of the key areas of the unit by drawing.

A lesson that allows pupils to independently create a news broadcast relating to the causes, effects & responses to a tsunami. Information sheets are used to create the broadcast & then students peer asses.

A lesson whereby pupils cut up & stick the plates map (like a jigsaw) onto their worksheet. They then use highlighters to identify the different plates. Very simple, but very effective.

All lesson resources to teach about convection currents & the layers of the earth. Students (in pairs or individually) create a piece of the world with all of the key information on. They then put the 4 quarters together to create a full earth diagram. Superb for display.

A lesson that enables pupils to put a whole lot of information onto a single sheet. Best printed in A3. Pupils look at the global distribution of tropical storms, rainforests & deserts. They analyse the climate and add case study location. Pupils add a piece of tracing paper onto the map (best stuck down with blu-tac) to locate & plot rainforests. This is a basic GIS.
