Challenging the Physical Elements, my Geography book, is complete.
I start with St. Nicholas - history and legends, letter to Father Christmas ideas, clip art for best copy and word search and one page on Advent.
Christmas has a list of nativity characters, poetry aid, three journeys, 'How many words can you find in Christmas' and Diary Aid.
Epiphany has one page. There are several clip art pictures to use.
Eight Poetry Aids have been put together - bottom of my garden, birds, farming, in the wood, trees and wild animals of the U.K. and the world.
The excellent clip art pictures are by David Woodroffe, an established illustrator.
I have created two sheets which children may like to use during their summer holiday.
The first sheet is a Diary idea with lots of Vocabulary and useful phrases. The second sheet is a Poetry Aid which the children may like to use to try and describe the holiday in poetic form.
They will also be useful at the beginning of the summer term.
I have created 15 pages of multiple choice questions, with a few homophones, on The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe which I hope will prove useful.
In June 2022 I began tutoring a 10 year old English 11+ work. I decided to introduce her to the Narnia stories for the comprehension work.
To encourage the child to read I took the famous The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and decided to create some multiple choice work. I have very much linked the work to the book so most of the answers are to be found on the page references I have given to most of the questions.
The child was set the homework of reading a chapter(s) and in the tutorial answering the questions - using the page reference as an aid if required.
I also wrote the material in TES for T’he Chronicles of Narnia - short crosswords with word search- which has been very well received.
Where it says see special sheet it is referring to that material.
Richard Branson fulfilled a personal dream by going to the edge of Space.
The picture I have chosen shows a very happy man fulfilling a dream.
He beat his fellow billionaire Jeff Bezos by days to be the first billionaire space company founder to ride in his own spacecraft.
Originally he was to fly on its second last flight but it was brought forward.
I have created a phrase and vocabulary sheet - I created a blank so you could choose which of the 3 pictures you preferred. There is also a blank comic strip.
I hope the children enjoy using the sheet.

A poetry aid and vocabulary to help children put their ideas down about Red Nose Day or Comic Relief. I have differentiated by creating 2 Poetry Aid sheets. i
Children in year 6 are often asked to write something for their final assembly.
I have created two sheets. Sheet one should give them ideas about what to write.
Sheet 2 may read Poetry Aid but the vast vocabulary can also be used to help them write their memory sheet. Hope these two sheets will inspire the children to write either a piece of prose or to have a go at writing a poem.
Black Friday is the last Friday in November. This when firms sell some of their products at a really crazy price.
The children might like to pretend that they can buy ALL l their Christmas presents they have dreamed of having. OR they might like to believe their pocket money will be sufficient to buy ALL the presents they want to buy to give to their parents.
I have created a list of phrases and a vocabulary to create their dream.
I have put together two vocabularies, a poetry aid, two clip art pictures and a crossword/word search about deserts which I hope pupils will find useful
With Wimbledon coming up I have created a phrase and vocabulary sheet all about tennis. There is also a Poetry Aid for those who would like to try to write a poem.

Over the years I have encouraged children to write about fires with a different emphasis at times.
The first two sheets were created following a strike by the fireman and the army were using their green goddess fire engines - current event. The short story was written by me.
Six of the sheets have a strong history connection - the Fire of London and the Gun Powder plot during the reign of the Stuarts.
The two sheets on fire in the countryside deal with the every day problem of fires which can occur on very hot days in the summer.
Three poem aids are included. The first two deal with fires the third deals with fireworks. Over the years I had a number of interesting poems to read.
