This video is designed to help teachers by giving an introduction to the changes Cambridge have made to the IGCSE syllabus for students sitting from 2025.

The lesson plan takes the death of George Floyd, an event which became a global issue, and links it the Global Perspectives topics Law & Criminality and Human Rights. IGCSE Global Perspectives Component 3 Team Project requires the students to submit a Reflection Paper. To help break down some key requirements of the project process, and to record them for use later as examples within the Reflection Paper, I have created this Log for students to complete individually. Give your students a print out, or a soft copy, or both to allow them to focus on the important skills and aspects which they will need to reflect on.

The video can be shared with students through platforms such as the Google classroom. It can also be shown in class. The video is designed in sections so a teacher is able to stop and explain in more detail, and answer students questions. All information has been taken directly from the syllabus.

This resource takes a historical photo related to racism and allows the teacher to make a connection to how it remains a global problem. The students can explore different points of view/perspectives on racism. It is designed in a step by step format which allows the student to develop their understanding.

The new GP syllabus from 2025 has a new research design question. With no past paper questions available, this resource has 4 sample questions along the pattern of the specimen paper. It can be used by teachers as practice for students.

This resource breaks down the changes to the Written Paper as shown in the Specimen Paper. Handy quick reference for teachers and students, especially as there are no past papers available and existing papers need to be edited. I will be uploading some examples of the new question types soon.

There are many Team Project marks allocated for Cultural Perspectives but students often struggle to understand how to investigate different cultural perspective in their team project. The focus on different nationalities limits the correct understanding of the concept. This mindmap allows the teacher to introduce and discuss some different cultural perspectives with students.

To fully engage students in their learning journey, and to facilitate their sense of collaboration as a class, I have created this 53 Page Class Memory Journal. Print it off, keep it in the classroom, and encourage the students to help you complete it monthly, so by the end of the year you will have a wonderful journal full of great memories. The journal contains a space for information and photos of the class, and is divided into sections representing each month of the academic school year, with pages to record important events, best memories, a special mention section for those students who have stood out that month, and a section for students to write what life lessons they have learned.

This guide can be used by teachers to ensure the students understand the essential elements that must be included within the reflection paper to obtain maximum marks.
