Updated 19 Feb with a new extra edition indicating the AQA 2022 exam topics Either in the classroom or remote at home this is a great lesson (and relaxing for the teacher) Students use this pdf file on iPads/ tablets/ laptops. The emphasis is on student independence. The file contains 357 hyperlinked pages with 90 questions. Email the file to your class and use Adobe Acrobat Reader on “single page view” to optimise. I’d recommend asking students to submit notes they make on key points and record any rewards they receive for completing sections. Track student progress with the reward pictures: Jacob’s Ladder - circuit components questions Lightning - circuit components sudden death (repeated) Van Der Graaf - circuits Tesla Coil - circuits extension questions correct Equations - Plasma Ball Fake rewards reached by cheaty scrolling: Theremin, Box, Munro (none of these involve big sparks) Other eBooks; GCSE Particles & Matter GCSE Electricity GCSE Radioactivity GCSE Energy Naked Eye Astronomy A level Adding Resistors A level Young Modulus A level Engineering Moments of Inertia A level Engineering Pressure-Volume graphs bennyjohn5@hotmail.com

Science Assembly - Do try this at home experiments

(1)
PowerPoint animations describing three exciting experiments for an assembly. i) A no-handed mug catch ii) Non-popping balloon immune to candles iii) Floating teabags. I got students to perform the experiments. A script is included in the footnotes. The teabags work better launched from a paper surface - they seem to get stuck with heat-proof mats. Four in a Row games on six other physics topics are available individually from my shop or as a bundle at a greatly reduced price. Four in a Row is a game for your whiteboard. Two teams alternate, competing to correctly answer questions on the grid. The board is interactive - clicking tiles changes the colours and also reveals answers. Radioactivity Four in a Row is designed primarily for GCSE Physics/ Combined Science courses but may be useful elsewhere.
