This is part of a series of lessons for KS2 or KS3 maths on Averages. This lesson introduces the Range. All four averages lessons are listed separately OR as one short unit of work at a discounted price, just check my other resources!
The PowerPoint introduces the range average then gives two teacher led activities to guide students through working out the mode. After each teacher led part, the students get a chance to try themselves, where they can ask questions or even work in pairs, these appear at the top of their handout.
After discovering what the range is and having a go with help, students are given an independent task to work out the range.
An answer sheet is provided for the teacher too, and all answers pop up on the PowerPoint itself!
The lesson is reviewed by students feeding back at the bottom of their handout. All images are either royalty free or made by myself (those coins and football shirts took some work!).

This is a short guide to using Tarsia, the free Teaching and Learning aid to create jigsaw puzzles QUICKLY for use within the classroom.
I use Tarsia a lot and even laminate them for use over and over, year in year out! This guide would be perfect to use for in-school training to get more staff to make use of the program, as it can look a little daunting at first.
The guide briefly introduces how to make your first Tarsia puzzle and gives hints and tips for the classroom.

Ideally suited to KS2 or KS3 French lessons, though would be equally good for KS4 lower abilities.
This resource introduces French names of nine common places in town (shops) in a PowerPoint show. As always, masculine and feminine nouns are colour coded throughout the resource.
The PowerPoint would be equally useful for classroom display. You could even print on A5 and laminate for a keyword wall or print four to a page for flash cards.
Alongside the PowerPoint is a 'dominoes' game and instructions included. Printing and laminating this means it can be used over and over.

A short unit of work that gets students to collect data for a car database, create two databases, make a questionnaire and carry out queries. This is best suited to years 5 - 8 but might suit lower ability KS4 students too.
There are six lesson outlines - not full lessons, just a brief outline of what needs to be done in each lesson; this is reflected in the low price for this resource. Teachers do need to compliment this scheme of work with additional resources, though the student book and lesson outlines provided act as a cheap and cheerful guide to a full unit of work!
The eight page student booklet also includes an assessment page for students to shade in using pencil/crayons.

This 10 slide PowerPoint is a range of SIMILAR starter or plenary activities. See the video preview below. Can be used OVER and OVER again, so well worth the dollar.
The first slides are grids with ANSWERS. Your students need to give the QUESTIONS. Great for questioning, great for differentiation/selecting specific students to answer.
There's a version of the same starter which involves splitting your group into two teams to make the activity even more engaging. The slides are fully interactive to allow you to change the numbers RED or BLUE depending on which team gets a point.
To ensure longevity of the resource, and the ability to use it LOADS of times with the SAME group, the starters have also been adapted to give questions for students to answer, just to shake things up a bit.

Let's learn about... Social Networks.
This is a FULLY resourced double lesson and includes a lesson plan to hand to anyone who has to pop in to observe!
The lesson includes a progress path to show ideas at the start and at the end of the lesson, so progress can clearly be identified.
Students learn what a Social Network is and then discuss the good and bad things of Social Networking sites. Higher ability students can then move to giving advice/solutions to avoid the bad things from being an issue.
A short homework task is also included to complete the circle and ensure you don't need to do any planning at all!!
