New AQA GCSE Biology specification for Classification of Living Organisms
Students are asked to identify the names of the different animals using the worksheet provided. Questions are also given about the use of the latin names and expected to decipher some of them themselves.
SimpleScience has designed a 2 page worksheet that can be used while students watch the ‘seaspiracy’ documentary that can be found on Netflix.
Students will follow the shoal of fish on the worksheet to answer questions based on the statistics, opinions and facts given from the documentary.
There is some content links to the separate specification of AQA Biology.
Please be aware that some of the content of this documentary can be quit difficult to watch and you may watch to skip some bits thinking about the group you are teaching.
Also be aware of the misinformation that some of this documentary may include. Ensure you highlight to your students that ‘fact-checking’ is important and not to take information at face value.
Hope you enjoy this worksheet!
